Animal Print Cake!

I think this cake speaks for its self! i loved making it, it was my first time making cheetah print, initially i wanted to hand paint the animal prints on there then i quickly realized that it was 97 degrees outside and i did not want to risk painting so i used fondant! defiantly one of my all time favorite cakes! and i think the flowers on top add a lovely girly touch !

Zebra Print Cake!

A friends sister was graduating! she told me to do whatever i want with the cake but it had to have blue, zebra print, and be a cake! So knowing that this zebra cake is one of the most popular i decided to play it safe and do a twist on the usual white and black zebra print cakes and use a shade of blue that makes it POP! with a lil work here and there I came up with this cake, i wanted to add a girly touch to it so i put fresh carnation flowers on top :)

Engagement Anniversary cake!

Last year my friend asked me to make a proposal cake and I was excited to be a part of this day and cake! Well a year later he called me up to make an anniversary cake ! her birthday and the engagement anniversary are on the same day so I wanted to make something romantic but also reminds her of her birthday so after some thinking, and quotes this was the end result :)

Lakers Birthday Cake!

A few weeks ago a friend of mine asked me to make a Lakers birthday cake! I was excited because I’m a Lakers fan! I wanted to go all out on this cake, but I had one small restriction! THE CAKE HAD TO BE SHIPPED!! Yup you read it I had to ship the cake. I’ve shipped a cake before and it got there safe and sound but because of this small restriction I wasn’t able to go all out on this Lakers cake! So I chose something that would stay together and get there the same way the cake left. So I decided on a edible image! I admit I was super nervous because if you’ve dealt with edible images before the smallest drop of water can ruin the image and cause the colors to bleed! But I was on a mission so a lot of prayers and the great guys and gals at UPS!

Rubber Duck Baby Shower *Qwak Qwak*

Safa's sister in law was planning her a surprise baby shower, we talked about ideas and themes and decided that rubber duckie was a cool and fun baby boy shower theme! I teamed up with Samantha from SmSm's Event Planning for the beautiful Sweets table and decorations! The cake was a chocolate bathtub cake with a rubber duckie in it :) I also made Vanilla cupcakes with blue butter cream for the water and fondant ducks! I also made strawberry chocolate truffles drizzled with baby blue chocolate & duckie sugar cookies topped with butter cream and fondant! The beautiful sweets table made by SmSm's Event Planning included a wide variety of chocolate candy that was packaged as the party favors!

Princess Cake!

When you think of a teenage girls birthday cake what comes to mind? For me the first thing that comes to mind is HOT PINK & Tiaras! A young lady was turning 17 and wanted a cool birthday cake that had to have a tiara on it because her nickname is princess. So after a lot of thinking and options we came across this cake(TiaraCake) She loved and told me she gasped and screamed when she saw it! she knew it was the one! So I used this cake as my inspiration and made a two tier princess cake!

Lady Bug Cake

When people ask me to make them a special cake I always ask them what do they like or what does the birthday person like, this helps gather ideas and themes for the cake. This cake was for a grandmother who was turning 80 years old and her family wanted a cake that reflected something she loves and is passionate about, Ladybugs! The birthday party was in December so I had to incorporate the party colors with the theme, it was pretty hard because its hard to make bugs look nice on a cake! but once one of the daughters saw the cake she loved it and said her mother will really love it!

Becca Cupcake!

One of my customers wanted to surprise her friend with a cake! Her nickname is Becca Cupcake so what else would be better than a cupcake cake! Initially the plan was to make a camera cake but we has to change it and this was the cake! It was inspired by another cake maker but I cannot find her blog @ the moment I will link it as soon as I do! All decorations were made from fondant including the candle! So much fun!

P*S I love HOT pink cakes!

Baby Bear Birthday Cake!

My Friends son turned one on December 17th, and she wanted a special cake for him! As most of you know it’s easier to find inspirations for girl’s cakes then boys, after a lot of ideas and brainstorming the parents decided on a Bear theme cake! This cake was inspired by one of the ladies from cake central BearCake ! The base was chocolate cake half of it was mint & the other half strawberry butter cream. The top tier was Vanilla cake with one half strawberry butter cream and the other half cream cheese. Yum Yum!
